Following a delivery of two instrumentation platforms to Xylem UK in 2021, we have built and delivered three more, once again for use on reservoirs. Measuring 4.5m by 3m, they are built using our commercial grade Docking Solutions pontoons and are held in position with mooring chains. Aluminium frame decks are mounted on the hollow steel floatation tubes, with ducting below the mesh flooring.
Following their assembly they were delivered to our Woolston facility to have the telemetry installed and trialled. They measure a wide range of parameters including acidic levels, run-off and water temperature They are now installed at the Llwyn-on, Pontisticill and Llandfedd reservoirs, all in Wales, and have an expected lifespan of more than 25 years.
