Walcon Warrior

Walcon Warrior

Launched in 2015, the Walcon Warrior self-propelled barge measures 21 metres in length and 10 metres across and offers ample unobstructed deck space either as a working platform of for transportation. Twin engines and Schottel pump jets give her a top speed of 7 to 8 knots. The wheel house has mess facilities for up to four crew.  With a 40-tonne capacity it offers a cost-effective alternative to the common tug and barge combination and is also much more manoeuvrable with a draft of just 500-600mm.

The Warrior can operate both as a standalone working platform and in tandem with the Walcon Wolf. In 2019 she was upgraded with the installation of a Heila HLRM 140-4SLK knuckle telescopic crane capable of lifting 10,000kg at a radius of 10 metres, allowing her to handle independently larger pontoons than previously.
