We have recently completed a project at OceanQuay, an independent boat yard located at James' Wharf on the western bank of the River Itchen in Southampton. Ocean Quay has exceptional facilities that few boat yards have, including a 60-metre covered dry dock with gantry cranes, a 90-metre wet dock, and the factory facilities to go with them plus a 100+ berth marina.
Walcon's works included installing a lay-by pontoon for the dry dock together with an extension of the pontoons used by bigger boats up to 23 metres in length - all using Walcon System 21 pontoons fitted with timber decking. The Walcon Wizard self-propelled barge with its crawler crane brought the pontoons to the site and installed the necessary piles. #berthingfacilities #marinaconstruction #marineinfrastructure
