The first stage of the new Outer Harbour at Nanny Cay, the BVI’s leading marina resort and boatyard, has opened for business. This phase involved the building of two new piers with 17 finger pontoons using Walcon System 2000 units. These will provide berths for 37 additional boats up to 19 metres (75 feet) in length. The pontoons are held in place by piles and hurricane chains. A new rear walkway measuring over 100 metres with an access ramps was also build and installed by Walcon.
A second phase scheduled for the second half of the year will involve an additional 78 berths across four more piers. In addition to the marina facilities, the expansion will include 8 new apartment blocks plus a restaurant, shops, wellness centre, gym, and event facilities.
