Over the summer Walcon deployed all three of its barges to undertake the refurbishment of the wave screen at Haslar Marina, located inside Portsmouth Harbour. Following the dismantling and removal of the original 20-year old screen, 23 steel panels totalling over 170 metres in length were fabricated at our factory in Segensworth, assembled at our waterside site at Woolston, then transported on our barges to Haslar. There they were attached to the existing fittings. It was a satisfying job that combined all our resources.
