We have completed the installation of a mooring facility at a new development in West London. Managed by the Ballymore Group, the Brentford Project is a regeneration scheme currently underway in a historic area which is located at the intersection of the River Thames, the River Brent and the Grand Union Canal. As well as new homes, shops and public spaces, there will be moorings for narrow boats.
Walcon has built and installed an 18-metre pontoon walkway in Brentford’s Workhouse Dock, a prime leisure area edged with shops and restaurants. The walkway is reached by a 12.5m x 1.5m steel bridge running down parallel to the quay wall. Facilities include Platinum Pedestals with freshwater taps, a pump out unit, pedestal lighting and LED deck lighting. Wall columns hold the entire structure in place and allow for changes in water level.
