The complete replacement of the pontoons and piles in Basin number 2 at Tewkesbury Marina has begun, with completion due for late spring. Walcon is handling the entire project. This includes removing the old pontoons and piles, arranging the insertion of the new piles, and building and installing the new piers, finger pontoons and services using Walcon System 21. The layout is comprised of four piers connected by a walkway. 55 finger pontoons will provide berthing for a total of 114 craft.

Tewkesbury Marina is located on the River Avon in the west of England and is a popular base for barges and canal boats as well as conventional motor cruisers. Walcon has designed the arrangement so that 17 of the finger piers are extra-long and have been specially fitted at 45° to their piers. This will allow the accommodation of 36 canal boats and barges up to 60 feet in length, with minimal loss of area for other boats. Walcon is proud to have been working with Tewkesbury Marina for nearly 50 years.
