It was back to AB Ports’ Lowestoft Trawl Dock, where we added a 35m extension to the 126.5m linear docking facility that we installed back in 2017, initially for wind farm maintenance vessels. Three Walcon Jumbo pontoons, each 11.5 metres in length and 3 metres across, were joined on for the use of the Harbour Master’s pilot boat.
Reinforced steelwork, 30mm GRP grating, 3 and 5 tonne mooring cleats, rubber ‘D’ fenders and aluminium hand rails on the inner edge together ensured a safe and
sturdy result. Humber Work Boats drove in the additional piles required.
