In the run-up to Christmas we replaced the pontoon jetty operated by this popular, city-centre water activities centre on the tidal River Itchen. Made up of four, System 21 pontoons stretching out into the water, it features galvanised steel frames around the floats to enable to take the ground at low tide and low-level skirtings to prevent dinghies from inadvertently going under them. The new pontoons are also fitted with non-slip GRP mesh decking.
