An unusual walkway on the River Thames

Back to Shepperton Marina on the River Thames for a most unusual project. The requirement there was for a continuous walkway to run around a small island within the marina, off which would come a number of finger pontoons in a hub and spoke layout for leisure craft to moor alongside. A linear walkway then connects it to the shore. Our task was to design and build the pontoons for the marina to install themselves. The project required precise design and manufacturing to ensure that it would fit together exactly whilst allowing room for movement, and both we and the client are very pleased with the resulting twelve-sided (dodecagon) structure.
