We have added a new line of pontoons above the road bridge at Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, for the Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners. Seven System 21 pontoons totalling 90 metres in all are now in place, secured by piles previously installed by Walcon’s mobile piling rig. Shore access is via an existing pontoon installation. Delivery has handled by the Walcon Warrior barge conveying them from Southampton to the north side of the Yarmouth road bridge followed by the use of a small boat to tow them under the bridge to their final positions. Such is the popularity of the location that all the berths were fully allocated before work began.
