2022 has been a year like no other. While for all businesses the key features have been the rise in costs and the difficulty of sourcing raw materials and components, demand for our products and services continued to be strong. This reflects the ongoing strength of the leisure marine market with providers of berthing facilities of all types seeking to extend and upgrade their facilities. Our thanks go out to our suppliers who have been very supportive. The Walcon barges also continued to keep busy, undertaking a wide variety of tasks when they were not delivering and installing piles and pontoons.
The year also had its sad moments, not least the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her passing marks the end of an era for us all, but also is an opportunity to look ahead and plan for what we hope will be a prosperous and peaceful future.
