Our longstanding relationship with the Seychelles continues, with two shipments of pontoons dispatched to the Indian Ocean so far this year for two separate clients, the Seychelles Fishing Authority and Eden Island Developments.
The Seychelles Fishing Authority required three piers, each 35-metres long and built using Walcon’s System 2000 aluminium-framed pontoons, and each with its own 6.25-metre aluminium bridge. The piers are for mooring the fisheries support vessels that enable the authority to carry out its objective of promoting sustainable and responsible fisheries in the waters surrounding the islands.
The second client was longstanding counterparty Eden Island Developments, which required System 2000 pontoons for a 70-metre pier to provide addition moorings residents of Eden Island.
As existing users of Walcon equipment both clients carried out the installations themselves.
