Office pontoon platform

Portishead Quays Marina on the Severn Estuary has gained another 47 pontoon berths, taking the current total to 325. The planned capacity of the marina is in the region of 375 berths. At the south end of the marina basin, Walcon Marine installed an extension to the main walkway and added an additional pier. A mix of new System 2000 and existing pontoons were used to create 10 new berths immediately, with the scope for more to be added in the future. Walcon’s mobile piling rig was deployed to extract and redrive four piles, and add seven new ones.

At the north end, a new walkway and pier were installed with seven finger pontoons to create 15 additional berths. This still leaves scope for adding more in the future. An office pontoon platform to be used by Tingdene Boat Sales was also built and installed by Walcon for Quay Marinas. Portishead Quays in one of seven marinas across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Island owned and operated by Quay Marinas.
